A comment on the establishment forcing designers to become artistic businessmen to develop a ‘luxury brand’. Crisco fat classically used for both cooking and for hardcore sex, this casted bronze and hand painted lidded box is an iconic object or candle holder.

'Crisco’
is our first scented candle and a view on the system….
The establishment often forces designers to become artistic businessmen. No longer about being an autonomous creator but on how to develop a luxury brand. Studio Job designed a scented candle based on the original packaging of ‘Crisco Fat’. Normally used for cakes, pastry and frying but also sold in sex-shops as the perfect lubricant for hardcore sex. Crisco is casted in bronze, polished and hand painted and holds a specially developed scented candle. Maybe it smells of Crisco, maybe it seems of…
