Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Job Smeets in the renaissance spirit, combining traditional and modern techniques to produce once-in-a-lifetime objects. At once highly specific and yet entirely universal, personally expressive and yet experimental, Studio Job has crafted a body of work that draws upon classical, popular and contemporary design and highly visual and sculptural art.

is our first scented candle and a view on the system…. 

The establishment often forces designers to become artistic businessmen. No longer about being an autonomous creator but on how to develop a luxury brand. Studio Job designed a scented candle based on the original packaging of ‘Crisco Fat’. Normally used for cakes, pastry and frying but also sold in sex-shops as the perfect lubricant for hardcore sex. Crisco is casted in bronze, polished and hand painted and holds a specially developed scented candle.
